Letter of Map Revision

If you are a homeowner and believe your property is not located in the designated 100-year floodplain [also known as a 1-percent-annual-chance floodplain, or Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA)], as shown on the effective Flood Insurance Rate Map or Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map for your community and you would like the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to make an official determination regarding the location of your property relative to the SFHA, you may request a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) or a Letter of Map Revision Based on Fill (LOMR-F).

Requirements and general notes

  • Base Flood Elevation Map prepared by Associated Land Surveying.
  • FEMA Elevation Certificate
  • Legal Description
  • Latitude and Longitude of structure
  • FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM - for application information)
  • A copy of the subdivision plat map (with recordation data and stamp of the Recorder's Office) OR,  A copy of the recorded property deed (with recordation data and stamp of the Recorder's Office), accompanied by a copy of a tax assessor's map or other suitable map showing the property's surveyed location with respect to local streets and watercourses.
  • Allow 30-60 days for FEMA response - call 1-877-FEMA-MAP for status.
